Growing up with two older brothers is both a blessing and a curse, but more so a blessing. With two older brothers, you grow up learning fast who runs the house and how to argue, but some things you don’t expect to learn from them. You begin to have higher standards when choosing someone to go on a date with.
1. Your brothers have set a standard to how you should be treated and how much you deserve to be treated the right way.

This gives you the mindset that nobody will ever reach those standards because they don’t treat you the same way your brothers have shown you how you deserve to be treated.
2. They taught you how to fight and how to stick up for yourself.

Without them, I would have never learned that I need to fight for what I believe and that I need to stick up for myself and not let people push me around.
3. They would constantly push your buttons just because they knew what they were.

4. You learned that not everything in life is rainbows and butterflies.

5. They taught you that sometimes it’s alright to not be alright.

Sometimes things happen and you can’t do anything about it.
6. They were the only ones that completely understood how you felt when you lost your grandparent, not only because it was their grandparent too, but because they knew and understood the relationship you had with your stubborn grandfather.

7. They understand the strength it took to grow up in the same house as you and the struggles you had growing up while everyone on the outside thought your life was perfect.

8. You learned that you should always be the first to shower, unless you want to take a 5 minute shower with ice water.

9. You learned that no matter where they are, they are only a phone call or FaceTime away and will always have your back.

10. You learn that no matter how much you tell them not to get you anything for Christmas because you can’t afford a present for them, they will get you one anyways and ask if you need money for school.

11. You learned over the years that no matter how much you fight, they will always be the best friends that you could ever have.

12. Over the years, you gained more and more older siblings, AKA your brother’s best friends and them gaining your best friends as siblings.

13. They are always there for whatever reason and will help you in anyway they can.

14. Finally, you know no matter how weird and crazy you and your brothers were growing up and how much you fought, you grew up with a whole lot of love.
