"One Tree Hill" is arguably one of the greatest shows of all time. It's a show that teaches you about life in all shapes and forms. From dealing with the loss of a loved one, breakups and numerous coming of age realities, the characters on the show give words on words of wisdom to help guide us through our own lives.

From time to time, you hit lows. This is something that is completely normal, but I've found that I can often find comfort in the words of our favorite "One Tree Hill" cast.

When something doesn't go the way that you planned.

"Learn to let go of the past, and recognize that every day won't be sunny. And when you find yourself lost in the darkness and despair, remember it's only in the black of night that you see the stars, and those stars will lead you back home. So don't be afraid to stumble and fall, because most of the time, the greatest rewards come from doing the things that scare you the most. Maybe you'll get everything you wish for. Maybe you'll get more than you ever could have imagined. Who knows where life will take you. The road is long and in the end, the journey is the destination."

When people are trying to tell you who you are and who you should be.

"You might wanna take a long hard look in the mirror and see if the person looking back at you is the kind of person you want to be." - "People are going to label you. It's how you overcome those labels, that's what counts."

When you're doubting your place is this world.

"Now is the time for us to shine. The time when our dreams are within reach and possibilities are vast. Now is the time for all of us to become the people we have always dreamed of being. This is your world. You're here. You matter. The world is waiting."

When you need a reminder about who you are.

"Because sometimes you have to step outside of the person you've been, and remember the person you were meant to be, the person you wanted to be, the person you are."

When one chapter in your life closes, and you are starting a new one.

"Every song ends, but that's no reason not to enjoy the music.

When you are wondering if there is someone out there for you.

"At this moment, there are 6,470,818,671 people in the world. Some are running scared, some are coming home, some tell lies to make it through the day, others are just not facing the truth, some are evil men at war with god, and some are good struggling with evil. Six billion people in the world. Six billion souls. And sometimes, all you need is one." - "Love is a wonderful thing. And it doesn't knock much, so when it does, be sure to open the door."

When you get your heart broken, and you're wondering where you go from here.

"Realize now that when your heart breaks, you've got to fight like hell to make sure you're still alive. Because you are. And that pain you feel? That's life. That confusion and fear? That's there to remind you, that somewhere out there is something better and that something is worth fighting for."

When life just gets too hard, and you need the reminder that you can get through.

"Most people are stronger than they know. They just forget to believe it sometimes." - "I think eventually we learn to define happiness for ourselves on our own terms, in spite of the pain other people have caused us."

When you find yourself regretting the time spent with one who caused you heartbreak.

"Yes, losing your heart's desire is tragic. But gaining your heart's desire? That's all you can hope for. This year I wished for love, to immerse myself in someone else and to wake a heart long afraid to feel. My wish was granted. And if having this is tragic, then give me tragedy. Because I wouldn't give it back for the world."

When you find yourself wishing for happiness.

"So, I've been thinking about this whole being happy thing, and I feel like people get lost when they think of happiness as a destination...We're always thinking that someday we'll be happy; we'll get that cr or that job or that person in our lives that'll fix everything. But happiness is a mood, and it's a condition, not a destination. It's like being tired or hungry, it's not permanent. It comes and goes, and that's okay. And I feel like if people thought of it that way, they'd find happiness more often."

When you're doubting that the happiness you're finally feeling is real.

"Sometimes pain becomes such a huge part of your life that you expect it to always be there because you can't remember a time in your life when it wasn't. But then one day you feel something else...something that feels wrong, but only because it's so unfamiliar, and in that moment, you realize you're happy."

When you are doubting whether or not to dream big.

"We spend so much time wanting, pursuing, wishing - but ambition is good, chasing things with integrity is good, dreaming. Make a wish, place it in your heart. Anything you want, everything you want. Do you have it? Good, now believe it can come true. You never know where the next miracle is going to come from, the next memory, the next smile, the next wish come true. But if you believe that it's right around the corner, and you open your heart and mind to the possibility of it, to the certainty of it, you just might get the thing you wished for. The world is full of magic, you just have to believe in it. So make a wish. Do you have it? Good. Now believe in it, with all your heart."

Believe that life is going to be okay. "Believe that dreams come true every day, because they do". Whatever struggles that you're going through, you're not alone. Life can get rough, but encouragement like this can make it better.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
