Life can become a big tangled ball of due dates and commitments, so the bright side can be a little bit fuzzy. On those days when nothing goes right, try to think of all the little things that make life all the more better.
1. Realizing that you woke up before your alarm.
Nothing says you’re going to have a good day more than waking up to see you don’t have to be up for another hour.
2. Finding money you forgot you had.
Five dollars doesn’t seem like much when it’s in your wallet, but you feel like you just won the lottery when you find one shoved in your jean pocket.
3. Sitting down after a really long day.
We’re all such busy people, we’re always running around and trying to get stuff done. Sometimes the world moves too fast for us to handle. Being able to sit or lay down just gives you a chance to take a breath.
4. Napping.
Like I said, we’re all busy people and sometimes a good ol’ nap is just what we need to give our bodies time to re-energize after being awesome all day.
5. Being able to finally breathe out of your nose after being congested.
If you can breathe out of both your nostrils right now, then you need to take some time to really think about how lucky you are right now.
6. Crossing something off of your “To-Do List.”
Finally crossing that task that has been on your list for five weeks feels like you really have your life together.
7. Finding someone with the same phone charger as you.
For some odd reason, companies decided to make every phone charger a different shape. When someone says they have the same phone as you and gives you their charger after being on two percent, the world just feels like a happier place.
8. Getting two bags of chips out of the vending machine when you only paid for one.
This one is a double win, because it’s just a gamble to see if the first one falls out in the first place.
9. Finding the most comfortable sleeping position.
After tossing a turning for hours, you finally find the I’m-Never-Getting-Out-of-Bed position.
10. When you finally get done cleaning your room.
Taking a step back and realizing that this is probably not gonna last long, but it’s really nice while it lasts.
11. Making a group of people laugh.
Bonus points if it was unintentional.
12. Taking a breath after laughing really hard.
This is also really nice because after laughing for two minutes straight without taking a breath makes you think that you are probably never going to breathe again.
13. That feeling you get after you finish a good cry.
Life gets pretty tough sometimes and crying it out might be the best thing you could do.
14. Finally seeing someone you’ve missed.
After constantly balancing work and school and trying to get everything done, you tend to lose track of how long it’s been since you’ve talked to someone. When you finally get to see their face, it really ties all the little things together. All in all, life is pretty awesome, so appreciate every little thing.
