Everyone knows the big national holidays that get us time off from school and work, and that require an abundance of celebration. But here's 14 holidays that get swept under the rug and definitely deserve just as much recognition as the others.

1. National Pie Day, January 23

This is definitely my favorite day of the whole entire year. Pie is amazing. It's time we start celebrating it.

2. International Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day, February 23

Slightly unsure how to celebrate this one, but I guess I'll just give my dog a bunch of biscuits?

12. National Cake Decorating Day, October 15

How about you decorate the cake and I'll eat it when you're done.

13. National Cat Day, October 29

14. National Champagne Day, December 31

LET'S GET DRUNK!!!!

Truthfully, I think we should just make every day some sort of holiday.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating.
