14 Spring Break Road Trip Events You Can Bet Will Happen Somewhere Along The Way

One time, my family dragged me to the largest ball of twine on one of ours.

Road trips, you either love them or hate them. Either way — and with Spring Break right around the corner — you are guaranteed to relate to something on this list one way or the other. Buckle up and enjoy the ride because chances are this will be you within the next couple of weeks!

1. Are we there yet?

We all have asked this at least 200 times during a long car ride, and to be honest I'm not sure if we will ever stop.

2. It's a classic conundrum... you realize you need to use the bathroom right after you passed the closest rest stop in a 20-mile radius.

A true tragedy.

3. The feeling you get when you make it into a new state

You're lying if you say you don't whip out your phone to capture a pic of the state sign for Snapchat.

4. Speaking of Snapchat... checking out all of the geofilters when you hit a new city.

Why does literally every other town and city in America have a better one than your hometown??

5. But when you get stuck in major traffic... yikes.

Especially in Atlanta/Alabama on your way to the Sunshine State.

6. And the struggle is real when you have to dig through all of the unnecessary junk you packed to try and find that one thing you need.

You gotta do what you gotta do.

7. Honestly, the struggle is real with packing everything into the trunk

"Yes, Mom, I do need 14 different pairs of shoes for our eight-day vacation. You never know, OK? Keep trying!"

8. The absolute sheer horror of when you run out of snacks

Code red the end is coming and I'm not talking about the end of the trip. Drastic measures may be taken.

9. When you've listened to all the music on your phone and still have 200+ miles to go

No what will you do to pass the time? You can only listen to God's Plan so many times in one trip.

10. When your mom won't get off the phone

Its probably been going on for an hour or so and you can't contain your energy much longer

11. The one party pooper who doesn't like the music or the singing along to it

This one's for you, Dad.

12.The absolute relief you feel when your feet touch solid ground

Finally!!! It's time to stretch and get this vacation started!!

13. Playing car games

You gotta do what you gotta do when it comes to the license plate game, iSpy, or the ABC game.

14. The feeling of sheer horror you get when the driver slams on the gas

"Jesus, take the wheel!"

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
