Ahh, the wonderful month of August has arrived, and we all know what that means. The time for packing our bags and heading back to school has begun. Someone that always inspired me for school was/is Rory Gilmore from "Gilmore Girls." I loved watching how motivated for school she seemed to be and how she also depicted just about every thought we could ever have about being a college student.
1. The initial excitement of getting back to campus.
Classes are always a lot more exciting before the essays and exams begin.
2. Reading the syllabus for your first class.
No more sleeping in till noon.
3. Making it through the first week of 8 a.m. classes.
You told yourself that it would be different this semester, but some things never change.
4. Having your first meal that isn't on the meal plan.
Cereal really does rock, but so do bagels.
5. Hearing someone talk about their plans for the future.
It's great that they have their life figured out, but you still have time.
6. Having to turn down a friend's dinner invitation.
It's always because of studying... always.
7. Meeting your group to work on an assignment.
Sometimes you will never understand what goes on in other people's minds.
8. Sharing random facts any chance you get.
There are a lot of them and you don't know how your brain stores them all.
9. Going home for breaks and being asked about school.
The overpriced school that you live is still there.
10. Thinking about finals.
Sure, it's only the second week of classes and you haven't even had one exam yet, but it is never too early to prepare, right?
11. Having three exams in a 24 hour period.
It's not an easy life, but you'll make it through.
12. Finishing all exams.
Go ahead and sleep, you deserve it.
13. Realizing you don't have time to sleep.
There is so much to do and so little time to do it.
No matter how many exams you have, or how many times you eat cereal in a day, you will still always love your school regardless.
