We all love this sweet story about a girl wishing to grow up faster and become "thirty, flirty, and thriving" but after re-watching this teenage classic, I could not help but look at the film through a different lens.
1. Mark Ruffalo: The nice guys will always guard your heart––or at least they will try their hardest. Even when you loose yourself in the messy situation that is growing up, they will bring the childish side out of you that wasn't afraid to live and be happy.
2. While everyone was drooling over Chris Grandy, was I the only one wondering who the guy was driving the car? Go re-watch that scene. Thank me later.
3. Let's not pretend we didn't all go through the fangirl phase. It might not have been "Jesse's Girl" but we all pretended we were part of our favorite song's music video and made our room our stage. Nine years later, you can have a front row seat at any traffic light you may see me at.
5. Yearbook pictures. Need I say more?
8. Waking up to strangers in our house, on the other hand, is everyone's nightmare.
11. One too many drinks can lead to too much honesty.
12. Being passionate about something never goes out of fashion. Stay true to yourself and the dreams you hold dear. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, sometimes they lead to even more wonderful things.
13. Sometimes the best thing that could happen to you is right in front of your eyes. Stop trying to look into the future. The best things about life are found in the journey, not the destination.
