Your college friends may be the here and now that get to spend the most time with you, but your high school friends are your true best friends that you'll have forever. They've been with you -- and know it all -- from the hardest, most embarrassing, and emotional times of your life and there's no one better than them.

1. All of your crushes and relationship details since ninth grade.

They helped you stalk your crush on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, anything really. They know all about your obsessions, and all of the boys that let you down.

2. What you looked like before highlights, before your braces came off, during your awkward stage.

Every birthday you fear that your high school friends will post a collage of your most embarrassing pictures.

3. The hard times you went through.

Whether it was parents getting divorced, a family member dying, or just relationship problems, they know everything and were always there to pick up the pieces.

4. What lunch table you sat at and your entire class schedule.

Or they went out to eat with you every day except chicken nugget and pizza day.

5. Everything thing that Regina did to make you hate her.

Your college friends may just know her as a girl from high school you don't like. Your high school friends know her as someone you deeply hate and everything about her that annoyed you.

6. Regrettable hair styles.

They didn't judge you the time you were a ginger, or those awful lowlights and highlights. Now, you look back at old pictures and laugh.

7. How old you were when you got boobs.

Yours kept growing and growing while theirs were at a stand still. Honestly, it shaped your group's dynamic for life.

8. Your pet's names.

They loved your pets like your own and vice versa.

9. Your phone number and address.

Your college friends only know your current address and maybe what dorm you lived in freshman year. But if you needed to call your high school friends and for some reason didn't have your cell phone, you would still be able to dial their number.

10. Your go-to selfie poses.

They know exactly how you're going to pose for a group photo or just a Snapchat. Whether it's a smile, the classic duck face, the tongue out, or cheesy grin.

11. Embarrassing nicknames your family calls you.

If your parents come to visit you at college you have warned your parents numerous times to not embarrass you, but your high school friends know about all the horrible nicknames your parents call you.

12. Your sibling(s) birthday(s).

Your high school friends have actually shown up to your sibling's birthday partly like they're part of the family, and vice versa. You really celebrate every holiday with each other.

13. The best places to eat in your home town.

Your college friends share the love for the food in your college town, but when you visit your home town, your college friends know what you've been missing and going out to eat is the perfect way to catch up.

Although you don't get to see them as often as you'd like to, your high school friends have been there through the glasses, and braces, bad makeup, and breakups, and you couldn't love them more for everything they've gone through with you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
