Who else is guilty?

As the semester begins, remember these 13 things we’ve all done in class. You know I’m right.

1. Doodles

How many irrelevant drawings can fit in one page of your notebook?

2. Passing notes

We've all done it and we know how stressful passing a note across the room to your BFF can be. Strategically planning it out so it doesn't get to the wrong person always turns out to be a funny scenario.

3. Online Shopping

If you aren't shopping, what is using a computer in class for anyway?

4. Small Talk

Why pay attention when you could be joking around with your buddies or talking to your crush. 😉

5. Other homework

And of course, this is what happens when you're doing other homework in class.

6. Nap, nap, nap.

There truly isn't enough time to nap.

7. Giving yourself tattoos.

Because your hand is always a better place to make a cool doodle.

8. Facebook creeping.

That awkward moment when you catch the person behind you creeping on you creeping on Facebook.

9. Taking BuzzFeed quizzes.

Should I leave class right now for a walk? YES... always YES.

10. Braiding your hair over, and over, and over.

And subsequently, getting requests from girls in your class to braid their hair aswell.

11. Catching up on last nights episode of your favorite show.

Hoodies, headphones or bust!

12. Watching cooking videos.

There is always something completely revolutionary and mesmerizing to watch when it comes to cooking videos.

13. Those eventful five-minute trips to the "bathroom".

We've all been here, we all love it, and we all will always take advantage of those few minutes in the halls.

Besides, what else are we in school for?

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
