A common tradition on Thanksgiving is to go around the dinner table and say one thing that each of us is thankful for. Whether you have had a bad day, a bad week, a bad month, or a bad year, there is always something to be thankful for — especially for a college kid.
1. Getting thoughtful care packages from your family throughout the year.
2. Waking up and seeing the “class is canceled” email.
3. Seeing that your classroom has an outlet to charge your phone or laptop.
4. Having multiple coffee shops on campus to fuel your caffeine addiction.
5. Dining dollars.
6. When your roommate puts desserts on the counter that everyone can have.
7. Restaurants that deliver right to your door.
8. Living in the age of technology so you can FaceTime your family.
9. When a club meeting has free cookies.
10. Having a break in the middle of the day so that you can take a nap.
11. Mattress toppers that save all dorm and apartment mattresses.
12. When the professor takes questions off of a test or curves the test.
13. The fact that you can watch Netflix on your phone.
