Where on Earth did summer go, blink of an eye and its already August. Maybe you had an adventurous summer and did everything you could've wanted or maybe, like the rest of us, you had big plans for the summer but spent it working, hiding out in the AC and partaking in the same old, boring routine. Before the summer ends- classes begin, work schedules get kicked into high gear, your planner is filled with deadlines, projects and practices, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a few weeks of fun before it's all over. Here are a few simple, hassle-free things to do to make this summer worth remembering.
1. Read
Even though you'll be sitting in a classroom in less than 3 weeks, try to expose your mind to something not taught in school.
2. Get moving!
Maybe try a little harder than this for that summer bod.
3. Can you say Road Trip?!
Grab some friends, an overnight bag and load up the car. Visit your Aunt in California you never see or your sister in New Hampshire. Whoever it may be, you'll be glad you got out of your hometown for the weekend and explored a new city or state.
4. Stargaze
Summer nights are the perfect opportunity to look up at the night sky and realize there are things much bigger than ourselves. Grab a blanket and do it on the beach for an even better atmosphere.
5. Get ice cream
Wherever, whenever. Just do it.
6. Go to a sunflower field
Summers most beautiful flower is a must see this time of year.
7. Take a trip to your local Farmer's Market
If sunflowers are summers flower than fresh fruit and veggies are definitely a summer food. Take advantage of it.
8. Be near the water
Summer is for sand in places you never knew was possible.
9. Watch the sunrise or sunset
Take a hike during it for an even better view.
10. BRUNCH
Because who doesn't want to be drunk at 11 a.m.
