The start of November means only three short weekends until Thanksgiving break. For most of us, this will be the first time venturing back home since we left in August, which means the first time sleeping in our beds, the first time having an actually decent meal and the first time not having to do our own laundry. November is a time to look back and reflect on everything to be thankful for, including all the things you are thankful for in college.
1. Finally being able to see your family after 3 months of separation
2. Being able to hop in a car at any time and actually drive
3. Not having to clean your own room and clothes because after 3 months apart, your mom actually offers to do those things for you
4. Having a full week of 0 stress because you don't have to worry about that paper you forgot to write
5. Catching up with all your high school friends and sharing stories about their semesters thus far
6. Visiting all your friends at school who only get four days off for Thanksgiving as opposed to your whole week
7. Eating out at all your favorite restaurants that never seem to disappoint
8. Fighting with your siblings because, after three months, it feels way too overdue
9. Going shopping with your parents because they always seem to spoil you a little when you're home
10. Getting out of your crappy dorm situation of any amount of time is something to be thankful for on its own
11. Not having to set an alarm clock because the burden of 8 A.M.'s have disappeared
12. The actual holiday of Thanksgiving, which is undeniablely a Top Five holiday
13. Being able to take naps at any time of the day with no responsibilities to hold you back
