The dating scene in the age of social media is...interesting, and ultimately, inescapable. Whether you're voluntarily looking for someone else or not, you are bound to receive these snaps at some point during your stay.

1. The "chillin with the boys" snap

I bet all of you hanging out in your tiny freshman dorm while chugging natty lites is verrrrry exciting.

2. The "about to take a shower" selfie

Please cover yourself with that towel from head to toe because I DO NOT want to see any of that.

3. The "I'm gonna send you a picture of my guitar so you think I'm a musician" snap

Anyways, here's "Wonderwall".

4. The "you up?" snap, featuring a black screen

I'm in bed watching Bob Ross. Leave me be.

5. The "half of my face so you can see my nonexistent jawline" snap

I don't really know what you're trying to accomplish here.

6. The "smoking a Juul" video

They're like vape gods, but only worse

7. The "house party with blaring music and inaudible conversation" video

They need you to know that they're at a party so you can ask where and power walk to the location ASAP.

8. The "I'm at the library for the first time this semester, and I needed you to know about it" snap

Featuring textbooks and the geofilter with the library. They want you to think that they're studious, and they're definitely only sending it to you.

9. The "wyd later" snap

Typically sent during the pregame and typically sent to every other girl that you're getting ready with.

10. The "reply chug" snap

They're normally chugging a four loko, which is something that you drink only in very dark times of need. I don't know if this is a way for you to get a convo started, but I will probably not reply past this point.

11. The "I'm really hungover/sick please come take care of me"

Sent at 11 in the morning and they're normally biting their shirt/lip/something weird idk why you guys bite things please stop doing that.

...we don't even have a streak.

Very similar to number one, except you're all trying to snap the girls from home in an effort to have an over-break hookup and then playing COD in defeat.
