13 Signs You Were A Cat In A Past Life

I had an epiphany this week. I was sitting on my floor in the pool of sunlight shining through the window, and munching on snacks when I realized: I was a cat in a past life.

It only makes sense, given my personality and lifestyle of choice. For instance, I'm always begging for food, I would sleep literally all day if I could, and I like to lay on the ground and soak up the sun's rays.

I got to thinking about it more, and compiled this list of things that may lead one to believe that they were, in fact, a cat in a previous life. Maybe you'll realize you were one too!

1. You Are Always Sleepy

Even on the rare occasions when you manage to get 9+ hours of rest, you are still tired. Is it nap time yet?

2. You Can Sleep Anywhere, Anytime

Sitting up, in the the car, on the floor, you name it. I once fell asleep standing up at work. It was a long, long day after that.

3. You Love Attention

But you are very selective about how it is given. Basically if it involves a massage of some sort, you are down.

4. You Have A Bit Of A Short Fuse

.

Everything is fine and dandy until someone looks at you the wrong way. Bam! That's when you pounce.

5. But You're Also Kind Of A Pushover Sometimes

You have a good heart. Sometimes you are merciful and spare your enemies.

6. Nothing Can Stand Between You And Your Food

Nothing. Food is life. You will break down walls in order to not miss a meal.

7. There Is Nothing Like A Great Stretch

Oooohhhhh..... It just feels so good. Sometimes little squeaky sounds escape you when you stretch, and that's totally normal.

8. You Love Your Friends, But Only A Select Few

There are few people you love and trust truly, but those people mean the whole world to you.

9. You Give Great Massages

Backrubs and massages are your specialty. Knead those knots out like a pro!

10. Sometimes You Get Yourself Into Situations You Can't Get Out Of

Um, maybe you're a bit clumsy and don't always think things through. Which leads to situations like this one. Awkward.....

11. You Tend To Overreact A Bit

Although only sometimes.... Okay, maybe more than sometimes.

12. When It Comes To Things You Love, You Have No Chill Whatsoever

No. Chill. Whatsoever.

1 3. You're Pretty Weird

Weird pretty much speaks for itself. People shake their heads and roll their eyes at your antics.

What do you think? How many of these things did you relate to? Were you a cat in some previous incarnation?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
