Serengetee makes everything from laptop cases to water bottles. They are also making huge waves in the business world. They are promoting their brand in new and creative ways, revitalizing classic looks with unique fabrics and making the world a better place. Here's why you need to start paying attention to them:
1. These two rad guys decided that in order to change the world, you had to wear the world.
In 2012, Ryan and Jeff started something extraordinary and they called it Serengetee. They traveled the globe searching for artisan crafted fabrics with a mission in mind. "We wanted to find a way to use these fabrics to make positive change in the world; we wanted to become the first brand centered around fabric." They did just that by incorporating these distinct fabrics into clothing, accessories, headgear, and more.
2. Every fabric has a story.
Every fabric Serengetee offers supports a cause. From aiding countries suffering from natural disasters to providing medical care to children in need, it's easy to find a pocket you can rally behind.
3. Every piece is handcrafted.
Everything you order from Serengetee is stitched together in the US. They take great care to make sure that all of their products meet the high-quality standards they've set for themselves. I have one of their backpacks and the quality is just superb.
4. Look how cool this stuff is!
Seriously, just look at the site. The stuff they have is crazy cool!
5. Buying this custom gear means your wardrobe will be super unique.
I mean, come on! Look how awesome the designs are. Even if you and a friend buy the same item in the same fabric, no two products look alike. Plus, some fabrics are actually rarer than others. Every piece is inventive and original; you'll definitely make your friends jealous repping 'Getee.
6. Sales for days!
If you like Serengetee, like their Facebook and sign up for their emails because they have sales all the time. Also, if your campus has a rep, buy 'Getee through them! They have a customer discount just for you. You will not regret keeping up with this brand.
7. Serengetee for your home, kids, or class
Your kids and house can rep Serengetee, too! You and your nieces and nephews can get matching crew tops! This stuff is so rad, why wouldn't you want to share it with the kids in your life? Also, these cool designs aren't just for you to wear. Your coffee table and couch can look as awesome as you. Plus, they have all sorts of bags, so you can rock 'Getee on the go.
8. Fabrics from all over the world
Every fabric has a story and a home! Artisans from all over the world have their designs featured at Serengetee, whether it's Central America, Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, South Pacific or North America. You can show support for causes near and far.
9. Based out of the great old US of A!
Purchases support artisans around the globe and our own economy here at home. Serengetee is based out of Los Angeles and ships all of their handcrafted products from here.
10. Stellar Rep Program
I had the honor of being a part of this amazing program last summer. The internship was online, but the community I became a part of was incredibly passionate and driven. Every campus rep strived to share Serengetee's mission of philanthropy and creativity. If you're looking to be a part of an inspired group, check out their rep program.
11. The clothes are crazy comfy.
I don't know why it took me so long talk about this, but the most comfortable thing I own is a baseball tee from Serengetee. It's incredible. I would wear it every day, if it were socially acceptable to do so.
12. The Elephant Shop
One of the coolest parts of the Serengetee website is their Elephant Shop. They have shirts, tank tops, gift cards, hats and more. They're cheaper than the custom products that use fabrics and Elephant Shop swag is covered in the company logo. The shop updates pretty often, so new items pop up here all the time.
13. It's the most personal shopping experience I've ever had
It's not a normal shopping experience. The infinite combinations of fabrics and products make your purchase special and the story behind your fabric makes your purchase even more meaningful. I love when people ask me about my Serengetee. They never expect a piece of fabric to have such significance, but it does. Wearing Serengetee isn't just about clothes, it's about a movement. It's about encapsulating something bigger than one's self. It's about changing the world, one pocket at a time.
