If you're like me, a true 90s kid (or just someone who experienced the 90s), you grew up watching "Full House." The Tanner/Gladstone/Katsopolis family felt like our family. So when Netflix announced that they would be creating a spin-off series, "Fuller House," with most of the original cast, "Full House" fans rejoiced. Netflix released the entire "Fuller House" first season, consisting of thirteen episodes, on Friday, February 26th. So far, I have only watched four episodes, but I plan on binge-watching the rest after midterms die down—and so should you. While some of the jokes can be a little cheesy at times, the spin-off honors "Full House perfectly." You won't regret watching it.
1. They recreated shots from the original opening slides.
So many feels.
2. They threw some side-eye at the Olsen Twins in the pilot.
Which was just hilarious.
3. Uncle Joey is still just as goofy as ever.
4. And Uncle Jesse is still as attractive as ever.
*Sigh*
5. Jesse and Rebecca are still madly in love.
True love exists.
6. Steve is back!
DJ's adorable and hungry high school boyfriend is back. (And he seems to still have the hots for her, from what I've seen so far).
7. DJ's three sons are pretty adorable. And they have clearly been taught well.
Max knows what he's talking about.
8. The Rippers are back! (In the pilot)
9. And they help Jesse serenade Rebecca with that song we all love: "Forever."
I started tearing up at this point.
10. Kimmy Gibbler is still the same old Kimmy Gibbler.
Sassy, as usual.
11. Kimmy's daughter, Ramona, finally points out the fact we've all known for a long time: the Tanners/Fullers (DJ's married last name) are the whitest family in America.
Just one of the reasons Ramona is a refreshing character: she tells it how it is.
12. The combination of DJ, Stephanie, and Kimmy makes for a pretty kick-ass parenting trio, reminiscent of the Danny, Joey, and Jesse trio that we know and love.
13. Throughout the series, they hit you with throwbacks from the original series, making Fuller House feel like a true and natural extension of Full House.
The pilot features screen-splits of scenes from Full House next to similar/nearly identical scenes from Fuller House. Get ready to feel the nostalgia.
So watch it.
You won't regret it.
