The second half of the semester has begun and stress is hitting a peak as the year will soon wrap up! Every chance we get, we try to kick back and relax with Netflix or TV. If you like chick flicks, then I suggest watching some off of this list!

As a hopeless romantic myself, I have watched many sappy movies. I have learned that there are different types of romance movies, and each one teaches a different lesson.

These are movies that will make you laugh:

1. Blended

Adam Sandler has been doing comedy forever, but this movie will not only keep you rolling in laughter, it will warm your heart with how two wacky families come together.

2. 27 Dresses

James Marsden and Katherine Heigl not only deliver a cute romcom, but also horrible drunk singing! This movie teaches us that love is not always at first sight and that you CAN be a bride instead of a bridesmaid, but got to put in your time.

3. The Proposal

No matter how many times you watch this movie, you will laugh every time! If you're having a bad day, watch Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock blur gender roles and throw snarky comments at each other. They teach us that there is a fine line between love and hate, and that there is always more to a person than what meets the surface.

4. A Walk To Remember

Grab the tissues because it's a heart breaking Nicholas Sparks' classic... Mandy Moore and Shane West portray a couple that truly changes each other for the better. They teach us that people can change and complete another person.

5. The Lucky One

Zac Efron is the lead... do you need a better reason to watch the movie? His character demonstrates strength and determination and heals the heart of the woman that saved him. Spoiler: IT ENDS GOOD! Might cry at a few things, but Efron's character lives...

6. The Choice

Bother yourself until you watch this must-see movie. Grabs you by the heart and forces you to fall in love with the characters and their love story. We all have choices to make in our lives, and patience, trust, and love wins out in the end.

7. Made of Honor

Patrick Dempsey and Michelle Monaghan play best friends, and he becomes her maid of honor! But can he live up to the task? He tells the truth to everyone except himself. How will he break the news that he is in love with his best friend? This movie teaches us that sometimes the person we are searching for is right in front of us all along...

8. Step Up

Not only is this movie filled with great dancing, it also sparked a real life love story for Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum. They met and fell in love from working together on this film. Step Up encourages people to not be scared to chase their dreams.

9. The Holiday

Careful or you just might slip and fall....in love with this cute movie. A house swap for Christmas is just what these characters need, and they learn that taking chances just might lead to true happiness. Jude Law, Cameron Diaz, Jack Black, and Kate Winslet all stare in this hilarious movie.

10. How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days

All is fair in love and bets. Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson are incredible in this film and teach us that head games are so not worth the trouble they cause. He bets that he can make her fall in love with him to his boss, and she is writing an article on how to lose a guy in ten days. By working against each other, they end up falling in love. I've seen it a hundred times but I still laugh each time.

11. While You Were Sleeping

Whoops, what a wake up call! I accidentally fell in love with someone else....while you were sleeping of course. Sandra Bullock makes yet another adorable RomCom in an older movie from 1995. Sometimes fate intercepts and wrecks your plans.

12. Dirty Dancing

You'll have the time of your life while watching Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey kill it on the dance floor. They teach us to stand up for one another and to stand up for yourself because nobody should put baby in a corner.

P.S Don't try lifting someone over your head without some training at least...

13. Where The Heart Is

So she refused to deliver her baby in aisle 5 at Walmart...Lucky for Novalee this movie arrived in 2000 instead of a year ending in a 5. Natalie Portman, Stockard Channing, and Ashley Judd help create a story about a teenage mother finding a place for her and her child. And she finds a home, friends, and a guy, and parks her heart there.
