Working at the front desk of the dorm is one of the best jobs that a college student can have. Most of the time, you get to hang out, do homework and watch Netflix. It's the best! Working the night shift is a great way to see some of the most entertaining sights that occur in a dorm. Here are 13 facts that everyone who works the night shift knows to be true!

1. How you feel when you realize that you have to work later that night.

And all you want to do is fall asleep for the rest of the night, but you're actually worried you won't wake up in time for work. Taking a nap always wins.

2. You have had, at a minimum, one cup of coffee. You probably had two cups before you left and brought one with you for the beginning 15 minutes of your shift.

To be honest, coffee is your lifeblood.

3. When you walk in at midnight and are feeling pretty good.

You probably took a nap beforehand and are pretty confident you can stay awake all night.

4. How you feel at 2 a.m. when all you can think about is food.

And that pizza pocket you brought with you is majorly calling your name.

5. When you're determined to do your homework and it's actually going well.

And you actually end up getting a bunch of homework done.

6. When 3 a.m. comes around and you can't do anymore homework.

Your brain is completely fried and all you want to do is turn on Netflix.

7. When you find the perfect show to watch on Netflix.

And you know that this is what you will be doing for the next four hours.

8. How you feel when someone comes up to the front desk and needs something.

You're probably right in the middle of an episode on Netflix - it couldn't be a worse time.

9. When 5 a.m. rolls around and you are struggling to stay awake.

I wonder if I put my head down on the desk for five minutes if anyone will notice me?

10. When you have 15 minutes left of your shift and hope that the next person comes in early.

It's the slowest 15 minutes of your entire life.

11. When you finally get to leave and you feel like a free woman!

It's the best feeling in the whole world.

12. When you walk outside into broad daylight and it's way too bright.

And you wish that you had brought sunglasses with you.

13. How you feel when you finally come home and see your bed.

You immediately collapse into bed and have never felt happier in your whole life.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
