13 Disney Quotes That Will Get You Through The End Of The Semester

The semester is almost over, and you know what that means...a ton of assignments and exams followed by a week filled with even more exams and/or papers. During these last weeks of the semester, it's inevitable that you are going to get extremely stressed out over your mountain of homework and plethora of commitments. There is, however, a way in which you can keep your cool, and remind yourself that everything will work out in the end. The ingenious not-so-secret method that I am alluding to is to simply repeat any of the many inspiring, empowering and motivating Disney quotes to yourself. I've used this method in the past, and although it doesn't completely relieve you of your anxieties, it does take some of the edge off. It's similar to how it has been scientifically proven that, if you are having a bad day, you can trick yourself into feeling happy by just smiling anyway. Repeating these quotes are similar to this because, if you continuously repeat any of the listed Disney quotes to yourself, you will, to some degree, trick yourself into actually accepting their respective message(s) as true. Here are the 13 Disney quotes that will get you through the end of the semester:

1. "Hakuna Matata!" -- Simba, Timon and Pumbaa from "The Lion King."

When you are studying and/or writing a paper in the library late at night, and you are freaking out because you keep thinking about what will happen if you don't do well on your exam(s) and/or paper(s), just repeat these two little word to yourself. "It means no worries for the rest of your days." It could be "your problem-free philosophy."

2. "Just Keep Swimming!" -- Dory from "Finding Nemo."

If you do end up getting a bad grade on an exam or paper, just keep repeating this quote over and over again in order to motivate yourself to do better on your future assignments.

3. "Let It Go!" -- Elsa from "Frozen."

If the previous quote doesn't work, this one will definitely do the trick.

4. "Promise me you'll always remember that you're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think." -- Christopher Robin to Pooh from "Winnie The Pooh."

Make yourself believe that Christopher Robin is saying this to you when you're stressed out during the final weeks of the semester.

5. "The very things that hold you down are going to life you up." -- Timothy Mouse from "Dumbo."

Challenges are called challenges because it is difficult (but not impossible) to overcome them. When you overcome challenges (such as simultaneously studying for two exams while also writing a paper), you achieve things that you never thought would have ever been possible. For this reason, keep repeating Timothy's quote when you are facing the challenges that arise during the final weeks of the semester.

6. "No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true." -- Cinderella from "Cinderella."

There comes a point when, if you genuinely believe that you can achieve your dream(s), your dreams naturally become a reality. Therefore, repeat this quote to yourself to convince yourself that you can achieve anything that you put your mind to.

7. "When there is too much to do, don't let it bother you." -- Snow White from "Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs."

When you have a ton of work to do in a very short amount of time during these final weeks of the semester, don't panic over the amount of you that you have; just work on one assignment at a time, and try your best to get everything done. It's all anyone can do.

8. "Today is a good day to try." -- Quasimodo from "The Hunchback Of Notre Dame."

This should be the first thing that you tell yourself when you wake up in the morning, because it will motivate you to be productive throughout the day.

9. "Do not be followed by its commonplace appearance. Like so many things, it is not what is outside, but what is inside that counts." -Merchant from "Aladdin."

It might seems impossible to overcome some of the challenges that you are presented during the final weeks of the semester. It is, however, all based on perception. Things are not always how they seem. Try your best, and you might surprise yourself.

10. "All it takes is faith and trust." -- Peter Pan from "Peter Pan."

There comes a point where you just have to have faith that things will work out for the best, and that you will be fine regardless of the outcome.

11. "I am on my way. I can go the distance! I don't care how far. Somehow I'll be strong, I know. Every mile will be my worth my while." --Hercules from "Hercules."

If you believe, you will achieve.

12. "Look inside yourself, Simba. You are more than what you have become." --Mufasa from "The Lion King."

You can only achieve your goals only if you wholeheartedly believe that you can achieve them. You may not think that your goals are unrealistic, but that's only because you think that they are unrealistic. When the semester is over, and you are enjoying your schoolwork-free summer, don't you want to look back on this semester and genuinely believe that you did the best that you could to do as well as you could in your courses? If so, then listen to Mufasa and believe in yourself.

13. "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." -- Walt Disney.

At the very least, you should try to find the courage to confront your challenges and work as hard as you can to overcome them. You never know -- you might even surprise yourself!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
