Don't have a date this Valentine's Day? No worries! You can spend the day treating yourself. Even if you do have a special someone this Valentine's Day, you can still make some special time for yourself. Just because Valentine's Day is advertised that you have to spend the day with a date, loving yourself and taking time out for yourself in equally as important. And what a great day to do so!

There are so many different ways to treat yourself this Valentine's Day. And you can also make special days for yourself any other days of the year!

1. Take a relaxing bath

Soak in a nice bath for an hour or so. It can be very relaxing, especially if you use a bath bomb, bath salts, or bubbles. To make it more relaxing, you can dim the lights, put some of your favorite music on, or read a book or magazine. Sounds like paradise, right?

2. Buy yourself a present

There is nothing wrong with buying yourself a present! Buy some nice clothes, a pocketbook, anything you want! You could even take yourself on a shopping spree, which can also be fun!

3. Indulge in sweets

Have some dessert! Have some cake, ice cream, chocolate, or make yourself something special to indulge in.

4. Cook a delicious dinner

You definitely don't have to cook a nice dinner for two. Cook for yourself! Make yourself something delicious that you love, and the best part is you don't have to share!

5. Sleep in/take a nap

If you don't have to be anywhere in the morning, sleep in some extra hours! Sleep is the best thing you could do for yourself. If you are busy during the day, squeeze in a nice nap to recharge!

6. Pamper yourself

Give yourself your own spa day! Get some face masks, lotions, even paint your nails. If you wanted to, you can book yourself a spa treatment. Everyone needs a day at the spa!

7. Get your friends involved

Make your Valentine's Day dates your friends! Get your friends together to indulge in food, relax, and gossip. Those are the best days in my opinion!

8. Go out to a park/nature preserve

If its a nice day to be outside, take some time out and go to your local park, or anywhere outside. This is the best place for some peace and quiet, and to just be alone with yourself. Being out in nature can be very soothing.

9. Meditate

If you really want some relaxing time, take a few minutes out to meditate. Close your eyes, take deep breaths, and have calming music in the background. Plus, if Valentine's Day is stressing you out, this is a great way to calm yourself down!

10. Eat chocolate!

You don't need someone to buy you a box of chocolates, buy one for yourself and enjoy!

11. Send Valentine's to family/friends

Show your family and friends a little love by getting them valentines. They will really appreciate it, and maybe you'll get something in return!

12. Pet a puppy

Puppy love is the best love of all! If you have a puppy or dog, make some cuddle time!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
