It's that time of year again, time for cooler weather, bigger sweaters, and bonfires with friends. Fall is finally here (and the bugs are gone)! If you are stuck in a dorm this season, don't worry. Here are 12 ways to bring the best of the season inside, and make your dorm feel more like Fall.
1. Blankets
Fall is all about being warm and cozy, so add some nice fleece or knit blankets to your dorm and snuggle up!
2. Pillows
Don't stop at the blankets. Adding some fall themed accent pillows will add to the effect.
3. Lighting
Fall is much darker than Summer, so having lamps or hanging up string lights can be just the things to set the mood for Fall.
4. Ambiance
Whether it's soothing fall piano music, something calming like Ed Sheeran's "I See Fire," or something fun and upbeat like the "Monster Mash," music can bring the Fall right into your dorm room.
5. Pumpkins
Nothing says Fall quite like pumpkins. Whether you paint a small pumpkin gold, hang a pumpkin picture, or just place a pumpkin by the door, your dorm will feel more like fall.
6. A Fireplace
I think it's safe to say that your dorm doesn't have a fireplace, but that's okay! Just search for "fireplace" on YouTube and your laptop can bring to life the crackling of a fire.
7. Baking
Fall is known for its wonderful aromas. Bring them into your dorm by baking some yummy fall treats, like pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. Mmmm!
8. Warm Colors
Browns, reds, oranges, even golds can add to the Fall feel in any dorm room.
9. DIY Fall Decor
Get yourself into the Fall spirit by making your own fall decor. Pinterest has plenty of ideas. Maybe a wreath to hang on your door?
10. Candles
Who could forget about candles? Let the rich fall scents fill your dorm! And if candles aren't allowed where you live, try some air fresheners, like Glade Plug-Ins. They'll do the trick.
11. Leaves, Leaves, Leaves
Fall and leaves go hand-in-hand, and they're so easy to work with! Just get some fake leaves from your local craft store and place them all around your room. On a nightstand, on the walls, or on your desk, it's totally up to you.
12. Fall Movies
Once you've got your dorm feeling just the way you want it, snuggle up in those blankets and munch on some Fall snacks while enjoying your favorite Fall movies. Maybe it's the latest horror movie or a classic Disney Halloween film.
Happy Fall Y'all!
