There are times in life where everything around you gets overwhelming. You're always getting bad news, you're stressed out, or you just don't know if it is all worth it. People say it all happens for a reason. Well, most of the time, the reason is that you have tried to do everything by yourself and you've put the weight of the world on your shoulders. Guess what. You can't do it by yourself. We go through tough times because God is trying to show us that we can't do things on our own. Here are some verses to keep in mind when you feel broken:
1. "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous hand"-Isaiah 41:10
2. "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."-Galatians 6:9
3. "Jesus looked at them and said, 'With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.'"-Mark 10:27
4. "Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, I will give you rest."-Matthew 11:28
5. "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong."-1 Corinthians 16:13
6. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."-Philippians 4:13
7. "Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous fall."-Psalm 55:22
8. "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men."-Colossians 3:23
9. "Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him."-James 1:12
10. "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."-Exodus
11. "It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect."-Psalm 18:32
12. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."-Joshua 1:9
I hope that these verses stick with you throughout the good times and the bad. We can only do so much by ourselves and need to rely on God to carry us when we are weak.
