Before you read this, you should know there are spoilers if you are not currently caught up. But, if you are a dedicated Grey's Anatomy fan, like I am, you've definitely said the words "i'm never watching this show again." But, as soon as you see a promo for the next season, you're waiting for that Thursday night. Grey's can have everyone cheat on everyone, make everyone get a divorce and kill off as many of the main characters as they want, I will still continue to watch, as much as I swear I will stop. If you didn't swear you'd stop watching during any of these moments, you're not a true fan.
1. The Musical Episode
I don't know about any of you, but this episode just made me angry. It had such an emotional story behind it and they made every character sing a song. Shonda, you really disappointed with this one.
2. When Teddy finds out Henry is dead
This broke everyones heart when we all knew who it was and Christina didn't even know that it was Henry on the table. Teddy was finally happy and then bam, happiness ruined with of course, another death.
3. George's Death
When Meredith realizes George is John Doe, my heart stopped. He was supposed to go overseas and help people out in war, how could you kill him? Especially after already killing off Mr. O'Malley. As soon as that elevator opened, I was a sobbing baby.
4. Denny's Death
Denny was of course, a fan favorite. How could he not be? He swooped Izzy off her feet as soon as he became a patient at Seattle Grace. After all the emotional abuse Shonda put us through with cutting the LVAD and Izzy quitting to save him, she kills him off.
5. The Hospital Shooting
Not only was this scary, eventful and emotional all in one episode, but it killed off multiple characters, and shot multiple main characters. What did they do? Why did they deserve that? Why did i continue to watch this show after a mass shooting?
6. When Arizona cheats on Callie
You two were the cute, happy couple at Seattle Grace. So what, she cut off your damn leg. That does not mean you go and cheat on your wife during a black out. I don't care if she was Peyton on One Tree Hill. This wasn't okay.
7. Derek's depressed stage
Okay, you were supposed to be happy and marry Meredith. So, yeah let's get drunk and hit her engagement ring with a bat into an open field instead of actually proposing. This made me so angry, I thought MerDer was over for good and what was the point of watching then?
8. When April & Jackson's baby dies
Killing off main characters, okay, I guess I understand that, but a baby? A baby, Shonda? Really. The couple was happy and finally together after a long time coming and you want to take their baby away, that's just wrong.
9. When April and Jackson sign their divorce papers
Their divorce wasn't okay. You spent so much time sneaking around and ruined someone else's wedding, and other relationships and you want to get divorced? Yeah, maybe April left to go overseas and didn't wanna come home, but her damn baby died, I think she needed some time. At least they're giving me some kind of hope again.
10. Christina Yang's departure
Sandra Oh leaving the show was as sad as it gets. Meredith and Christina were hip to hip from season 1 episode 1, now they want to split them up? She was her person, she will always be her person.
11. The Plane Crash
Now, I felt very strongly when I said i'd never watch again after this episode. I thought I actually meant it. Not only was every main character possible on the same exact plane, but some were killed too. Arizona lost a leg and her relationship crumbled after that, and the greatest love story (other than Meredith and Derek) Lexi and Sloan, both die... after confessing their love. I want to cry just thinking about it.
12. Derek Shepard's freak accident
Of course, this is going to be the one death out of them all that we never thought would happen. After saving a family, from a car accident, Derek, somehow mysteriously ends up in a car accident minutes after, ends up at a random hospital, with doctors that don't make the right calls. Why? Why did this ever happen. Obviously you can see I am still bitter over it. Oh and then leave Meredith pregnant without a husband? Yup, that's perfectly fine.
But... I still watch anyway. Thank you Shonda for making me hate you and love you at the same time.
