Severus Snape is one of the most beloved or detested characters throughout the entire "Harry Potter" Series. The character was both the "bravest man [Harry] ever knew" and a complete master of sarcasm. So in honor of the late, great Alan Rickman, here are 12 times Severus Snape really understood what it means to be a college student.

1. When he understood just how insane all of our readings are.

Page 394 isn't just the starting point for the chapter on werewolves. It's basically the number of pages we're reading every night.

2. When he understood the awkward shame of walking into class obviously late.

The simultaneous feeling of discomfort and wanting to display an attitude of complete indifference.

3. When he screamed at Harry exactly what our internal voices are telling us 24/7.

4. When he was that guy on Yik Yak who just couldn't get the nerve to ask out his class crush.

And then just let the entire semester go by without saying anything to them. *sigh* Such a waste.

5. When he knew how to act cool even when he wasn't.

"I just rolled out of bed five minutes before this class, I barely skimmed the reading, and I'm not 100 percent sure if this shirt is clean, but you know what? I'm doing great. Yep."

6. When he had the right reaction for when the obnoxious kid in your class finishes an incredibly lengthy presentation.

Yep, that was five minutes over the time limit and reflected your arrogance perfectly, thank you.

7. When he always had the right answer to "are you drunk right now?"

8. And for "Tired?"

9. When he understood how difficult it was to find affordable, decent textbooks.

Seriously, find me a rental that won't cost me half my life savings and has less than a 50 percent chance of all the pages falling out.

10. When he knew what if felt like to see your grades at midterm.

11. When he was just done with everyone's shit.

Why must there always be so much drama? Y'all need to relax.

12. When he had more sass in one statement than all of us combined.

And, given that we're college students, that's an impressive feat.

R.I.P. Alan Rickman and Severus Snape. We salute you and your brilliance.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
