Perhaps the best romance novelist of the century, Nicholas Sparks has "over 75 million copies" and published almost 20 novels in his career. While he is quite the romantic, the man is also a genius. In reading his books, not only will you encounter a story that makes your heart melt, but you will also find countless life advice. Here are 12 times Sparks gives life advice we should all listen to:

1. "Love could be set in motion quickly, but true love needed time to grow into something strong and enduring. Love was, above all, about commitment and dedication and a belief that spending years with a certain person would create something greater than the sum of what the two could accomplish separately. Only time, however, could show whether you’d been accurate in your judgment.” – True Believer

2. “I’ve come to believe that in everyone’s life, there’s one undeniable moment of change, a set of circumstances that suddenly alters everything.” – Safe Haven

3. “…marriage is about becoming a team. You’re going to spend the rest of your life learning about each other, and every now and then, things blow up. But the beauty of marriage is that if you picked the right person and you both love each other, you’ll always figure out a way to get through it.” – At First Sight

4. "A guy out there was meant to be the love of your life, your best friend, your soul mate, the one you can tell your dreams to. He'll brush the hair out of your eyes. Send you flowers when you least expect it. He'll stare at you during the movies, even though he paid $8 to see it. He'll call to say goodnight or just cause he's missing you. He'll look in your eyes and tell you, you're the most beautiful girl in the world, and for the first times in your life, you'll believe it.” – Nicholas Sparks

5. "But love, I’ve come to understand, is more than three words mumbled before bedtime. Love is sustained by action, a pattern of devotion in the things we do for each other every day.” – The Wedding

6. "True love is rare, and it’s the only thing that gives life real meaning.” – Message in a Bottle

7. "Nothing that’s worthwhile is ever easy. Remember that.” – Message in a Bottle

8. "We’re not perfect. Any of us. We make mistakes, we screw up but then we forgive and move forward.” – The Last Song

9. "Love is like the wind, you can’t see it but you can feel it.” – A Walk to Remember

10. "Love is patient and kind. It is never jealous, love is never boastful or conceited. It is never rude or selfish. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful and endures through every circumstance, love will last forever.” – A Walk to Remember

11. "Sometimes, finding the light means you must pass through the deepest darkness.” – The Lucky One

12. "Love requires sacrifice, but it’s worth it.” – The Longest Ride

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
