For a college filled with many different people, you would be surprised at how common all of our thoughts may be on a daily basis. Here is a look at some thoughts of a Westfield State Student.
1. “Why does the DC close at eight?”
We hungry college kids often question why our only dining hall closes at eight p.m… Thank god for the Perch to save our late night hunger cravings.
2. “Will the wifi ever work?”
I don’t think I will ever fully be able to watch a video with this campus wifi.
3. “Is that a squirrel or a cat?”
The unique Western Mass black squirrels that take over our campus … they aren’t afraid to get in your way while walking to class.
4. “I want to go off campus but don’t want to walk to South Lot.”
The struggle of wanting to get in your car to go somewhere but not wanting to walk 100 miles to the giant commuter lot to get your car.
5. “I can’t go anywhere without seeing the same people at least twice.”
Although we are a decently medium sized school, chances are you will run into the same people more often than you’d think.
6. “Please don’t let the gym be crowded.”
Too many people, too little machines.
7. “I hope Renee is making the omelets this morning.”
The omelet line is always worth the wait. And we all will wait extra long when Renee, the omelet angel, is making them.
8. “Why is there a Subway located at the gym exit?”
The struggle of doing a nice workout and then walking out to the smell of Subway.
9. “I wonder how many days it will take me to run out of Sodexo this semester.”
$150 is just not enough.
10. “Have those geese gone South yet?”
The squawking geese that wake you up from your nap everyday.
11. “Tomorrow better be more fun.”
Friday’s the pregame, Saturday is the real deal.
12. “I hope we can squeeze ourselves on the bus tonight.”
The race is on to get on the bus on the weekend.
