Another school year has come and gone, and Boston University students have flocked home to enjoy their summer vacations. While yes, school can be really stressful at times, there are at least a few things you miss about Boston. They may include, but are not limited to:
1. Never being bored
There's always something to do, whether it's checking out a food truck festival, going to an extremely cheap Red Sox game, or just staying in and hanging out with friends.
2. Living with your friends
You get to hang out with your friends 24/7, and no one yells at you for it.
3. Being so close to everything
Everything you could ever need is either within walking distance or a T ride away, which is pretty cool if you think about it.
4. "Fam" dinners
Yes, summer means actual family dinners, but being able to sit down and recap the day without having to keep it PG with your closest friends can be the perfect detox after a stressful day.
5. The view
Waking up to a view of the Boston skyline? Yes please. Waking up to a view of your neighbor's backyard? Not so much.
6. Always having someone to talk to
College is great because if you find yourself drunk crying at 3 a.m. you always have a friend a few doors down to help calm you down.
7. Being minutes away from so many other colleges
Tired of dealing with all of the frat boys asking you "who do you know here?" Try Harvard, MIT or any one of the dozens of other colleges in the area.
8. Having the freedom to do what you want
Want to stay in all day and watch Netflix? Want to go out at 1 a.m.? Want to spend all of your money while online shopping? Go right ahead, you adult you.
9. The extremely crowded BU Shuttle
Not.
10. The dining hall's use of their Alfredo sauce for a week straight
Do you still think I'm being serious?
11. Mugar Library
Since you just finished sleeping in there for 4 days straight studying for your Orgo final, you're probably going to miss not being able to have the opportunity to see the mice in Mugar in action.
12. Being in one of the greatest cities
And that's just the truth.
