Every Wednesday and Friday you wake up and remember you have chapel that day. You think to yourself, "Oh, it's a chapel day. I have got to look good today!" You pick out the perfect outfit and count down the minutes until chapel starts. You walk into the chapel at 10:50 (so you can get a good seat by your wing) and you can automatically sense the sweet Spirit in the air. You then say hi to all of your friends and hug about 100 people. You cannot wait for the message you are about to hear and cannot be wait to be impacted in a life changing way!

Here are the things that go through every ORU student's mind at chapel.
1. "Ahhh, I am so happy to be here. I really needed this today."
You have had a rough week and as soon as you get into the chapel you feel the presence of Jesus and everything is better. Any stress you are feeling dissipates and every bad spirit you are feeling is washed away.
2. "I am so pumped for worship! I hope they play good songs today."
You know...because you don't just want to stand there when they sing a song that you don't know the lyrics to.
3. "That announcement was so funny!"
You turn to the person next to you, "Oh my goodness, wasn't that hilarious?!" And sometimes you might even cry a little. You know, when the cutest puppy in the world makes an appearance on the announcements.
4. "Hmm...I wonder where you audition to be a flag twirler?"
"Look at those magical pieces of fabric! I want to try! Those people must be anointed."
5. "I'm so excited for this guest speaker."
"Who's it gonna be? Who's it gonna be? I wonder if it's Brian Houston or Christine Caine!"
6. "Why do we have to stand?"
Everyone knows what I'm talking about.
7. "Wow this really hit home."
You think to yourself, "The Holy Spirit really knew that I needed to hear that today! Wow. God is so good."
8. "I wonder if their wrists hurt from flinging them like that."
Seriously though. How are their wrists so flexible? How do they do that so fast?
9. "Standing again?"
You have got to be kidding me.
10. "My hands are tired from clapping."
Your hands will for sure go numb and you will more than likely get carpal tunnel from all the clapping.
11. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WE ARE STANDING AGAIN?!"
"THIS HAS GOT TO BE A JOKE! I REBUKE THIS IN THE NAME OF JESUS."
12. "Wow that was amazing! I cannot wait for next time."
"That was the best chapel ever! What an amazing message. That really hit home." You walk out of chapel saying these things every Wednesday and Friday.
