What do you do when you are swamped with work in the middle of the semester? If you're like me and many other students, you pack all your books in your backpack and head to the library. If you are the bravest of students, you will head to the silent floor; the mystical floor where students sit in absolute silence among the books and completely focus on their studies. If you are a regular on the silent floor, you are familiar with these things.
1. Packing up your life and heading to the library for the day

2. The wonder of silence
Now you can really focus on getting your work done!
3. Getting in the zone
You put in your headphones, turn on your favorite study music, and get to work without any interruptions.
4. Cranking out five hours worth of work in two hours
5. Glaring at that one person who thinks it's okay to eat chips, the noisiest food ever

6. Glaring at those people who think it is okay to have a conversation
You really aren't whispering that quietly. There is a regular floor for people like you who can't keep your mouth shut.
7. The annoying people who leave all their stuff at a table and leave for hours
This is especially annoying during exams when everyone and their mother is in the library. Like, excuse me, sir, but you are not here, so your stuff should not be here.
8. Seeing your friends
Showing as much excitement as possible without disturbing the peace when you see one of your friends (joining you in your silent misery of endless work).
9. The blankets
The really dedicated people come prepared with blankets, as if they know their only hope of getting sleep is taking a quick nap under their table.
10. Slowly going insane

11. Actually reaching the breaking point of insanity

12. The feeling of triumph
At the end of it all, you walk out of the library like an action hero walking away from a burning building, because you got stuff done.
