12 Things Only Neat Freaks Will Understand

Organized is your middle name.

Not everyone strives to have everything 100% spotless all the time, and you respect that, but you still find that you can’t control yourself when you see an empty wrapper on the ground while walking to class or a drawer won’t close completely because it’s one shirt too full. If you are irrepressible when it comes to organization then here are 12 things you would probably understand more than most.

1. Your books, notebooks, pens, and everything else on your desk needs to be arranged in a particular way every single time.

Or else you can’t focus on anything else.

2. You absolutely have to do laundry every week no matter the cost.

It doesn't matter how busy you are with everything else. If your clothes aren't clean then nothing else is worth it.

3. If your bed isn’t made every morning, your mind isn’t ready for anything else.

A clean bed is a clean mind, as they say.

4. You have a drawer of random odds and ends in your room, because everything that doesn’t have a place still needs to have a place.

No one is perfect, so this is the best you can do.

5. Every line of your notebook must be used, or else what is the point of having one?

It doesn't matter if there are three lines left at the very bottom. You will use those three lines if it's the last thing you do.

6. You often spend your time surfing the internet by browsing for organizer materials.

Shopping for notebooks and desk organizers can be a lot more fun than shopping for clothes sometimes, and definitely a lot less stressful.

7. Your idea of a stress reliever is cleaning the entire house.

It also burns a lot of calories, so there's that.

8. Nothing gives you more anxiety than a sink full of dishes.

You may not do anything about it right away, but those dishes have to go at some point.

9. You have at least 5 planners and they all serve a different purpose.

You may even have a planner to keep track of your planners.

10. Going to Staples is what you look forward to the most before the start of every school year.

A new year may mean hours of studying every night, but at least you have an array of highlighters to help you get through it.

11. On any trip you have to unpack and put things away before you do anything else.

You absolutely cannot live with yourself if you have a full suitcase just sitting around somewhere.

12. You’re never more satisfied than you are after spending an entire day cleaning.

You count it as one of your most valuable skills.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
