The odds of winning Saturday night's $940.8 million jackpot were one in 292 million. One of the morning news shows reported that the likelihood of winning the Powerball is the same as being blindfolded in front of the whole map of the country and sticking a pin directly on New York City six times. Since there was no winner of Saturday's announcement, however, the jackpot has now surged to $1.3 billion. The odds of the new jackpot have not been released, but here are some crazy things that are more likely to happen to you than winning this Powerball:

1. Dying in an asteroid strike: 1 in 74,817,414

2. Having extra fingers or toes: 1 in 500

3. Becoming President of the United States: 1 in 10 million

4. Dying in a plane crash: 1 in 7,178

5. Getting attacked by a shark: 1 in 11.5 million

6. Sustaining a pogo stick related injury: 1 in 115,300

7. Having conjoined twins: 1 in 200,000

8. Finding a pearl in an oyster: 1 in 12,000

9. Dying from an accident related to a vending machine: 1 in 112 million

10. Believing in UFOs: 1 in 3

11. Getting struck by lightning: 1 in 1,101,000

12. Contracting Ebola in the United States: 1 in 13.3 million
