Everyone has a hobby or something they just really enjoy doing. I have quite a few, but one of the many hobbies I have is makeup. To me, applying and wearing makeup is so much fun. I can experiment with it, always find a new, fun thing to do and decide if today I want to look like a pretty princess or a edgy punk rocker, and I think that's fantastic. When I was younger, I watched the older female figures in my life in total awe as they applied makeup, and now I'm happy to say I'm definitely a makeup addict. With that being said, there are so many things that all makeup addicts know to be true, and here are 12 that we can all relate to.

1. Hearing the basic, "But you don't need makeup, you're beautiful without it."

Psh, I know, but I'm wearing makeup for myself, not anyone else. I use it to enhance what I already have, and if I happen to have a day where I'm not feeling the greatest, it helps give me the boost I need.

2. How annoying it is when people also say you're wearing too much makeup.

What I hear a lot is, "Oh, you're wearing your mask of lies today." Well, I'm sorry Janet, but I didn't realize how much makeup I wore affected your life in a personal way. Lay off.

3. You pounce on all the sales.

Ulta, ColourPop, Sephora, Target, you name it. Being on a budget isn't gonna stop this girl from looking bomb erryday, OK?

4. Tutorial videos can sometimes be lifesavers.

For me, my mom didn't teach me much about makeup. I learned on my own by YouTube tutorials, experimenting and my own imagination. Tutorials can really come in handy when you wanna try to learn how to do a wing or contour.

5. How to look amazing with three hours to do your makeup or only 20 minutes.

I'm horrible at waking up early, and Lord knows I'm sleeping in as late as I can for my classes. So when I can take my time and not rush, I'm thankful for it, but if I have little to no time to get to class, well, I can work with that.

6. A hobby is a hobby.

Whether you love scrap booking, riding bikes or doing makeup, a hobby is just something one likes to do in their leisure time, and there's nothing wrong with that.

7. Makeup is always on your holiday lists.

Whether you're specifically asking for makeup, coupons or just money, one way or another, you're gonna get that new lipstick you really really want for your birthday or the holidays.

8. Something you look forward to every month is your sampler pack.

Whether it's Ipsy, Birchbox, Glossybox or any other of your choice, you can't get enough of the awesome samplers you get every month

9. You're a makeup artist for a lot of your friends.

You're constantly getting asked to do your friend's eyebrows, eyeliner or contour, and you absolutely love it. Well, I do, anyway.

10. Sometimes getting ready is more fun than going out.

You're either alone getting in the zone or getting ready with friends, cranking your fave jams and having the best time ever.

11. When you find another makeup addict, you get so excited.

Sometimes, you may be the only one in your friend group who's totally obsessed with makeup, so when you find someone else who is, too, it's frickin' epic.

12. At the end of the day, it's time.

You start getting ready for bed and look in the mirror, makeup remover in hand. It's time to take off yet another masterpiece, but it's OK, because you're excited to do it all over again tomorrow.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
