College is all fun and games until the that insane moment when you realize... you're graduating. And to top it off—early. It's a good look as far as your bank account is concerned, but if you or any of your friends are going through with it, you are probably facing some of these struggles:
1. Deciding whether to stay on campus and run around or getting an actual job for next semester.
All my friends will still be here...but shouldn't I be doing something productive with myself? Isn't that why I graduated early? Responses welcome.
2. People asking you "So, what are you gonna do next semester?"
( ^ real life Max dealing with real life people)
Yes, I ignored your question. I don't know. Let me live!
3. Applying to big boy/big girl jobs.
Three years "real market experience?" How about three years of college experience instead...
4. Dealing with this:
Person: "So like, what are you gonna do with the rest of your life?"
Me:
But please, tell me more about that accounting job you are hooked up with when you graduate.
5. And This:
"OMG why would you graduate early?!"
6. This doesn't mean...no...don't tell me...
After three and a half years of being my own boss, do you really think I am tryna deal with Judy (my mom) asking me where I am going every second of the day? I can afford my own place, right?
7. Taking on your new role... as a college graduate.
Does this mean...I'm an adult now?!
8. If I do decide to work full-time... how exactly does one "adult"?
Do I go to business meetings now? Do I get health insurance or something? Is there a book on this?
9. Feeling like you have so many more things to do on campus.
10. Realizing you may not be seeing your friends as often.
11. Trying to put together that college is actually over...
12. But also remembering that all your friends are still in school so it's kind of like you are too.
This makes graduating early a little less bitter. At the end of the day, you can always come back and relive the college life (without the whole class thing).
