Every year, during the summer, I wait patiently for an owl to fly to my window and deliver to me my long-awaited letter. And by doing so, I solidify my status as the ultimate "Harry Potter" fangirl (or boy) and so do many of my fellow wizards around the world. Here's some signs you're among my kind.
1. You know the importance of Sept. 1.

2. Your Hogwarts house is still a very important defining characteristic of who you are as a person.

3. Every tidbit about the universe J.K. Rowling tweets stops your life and causes you to discuss it with your fellow Potter-heads.

4. Specifically the announcement about the wizarding schools worldwide.
You knew you picked the wrong high school or college.

5. You reread the books at least once a year.

6. And "Harry Potter" fan fiction is your secret guilty pleasure.
Especially "The Marauders."

7. News about the new play made you want to drop everything and fly to London immediately.

8. And news about the upcoming "Fantastic Beasts" movie made you break out your cosplay costume from the last "Harry Potter" movie premiere.

9. You stand by the theory the only reason you never got your letter is because of the upheaval the Ministry went into the '90s when your letter would have been sent.
Thanks again, Voldemort.

10. You own at least one piece of Hogwarts or house paraphernalia that you wear un-ironically.

11. "Harry Potter" Tumblr makes you really happy.

12. You know deep down you’re a wizard and just missed your calling.

"Whether you come back by page or by the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home." -- J.K. Rowling
