Big/Little relationships are a tricky thing. Not all pairs are meant to be unstoppable duos. Some relationships click, some don't, and others become the best part of your life. For the rare and lucky few, our relationship with our little is one of the most meaningful and raw friendships we will ever have. For some, our little is our person.
1. The moment she ran into your arms will never be forgotten.
Especially because it was taken from 3 different angles on 5 different phones; 3 pictures and 2 videos to be exact. It's also most likely been made into several Instagram colleges, your Facebook profile and possibly even your phone lock screen.
2. You take your role as her big seriously
Whether she needs a ride to class, a date to semi or a a hug and chocolate at three a.m., you are there. There's nothing more important than caring for Little. Well, if caring for Little includes correcting her questionable fashion choices and tweaking her bar etiquette, that is.
3.She is your baby
You may be a tad over protective at times but all for good reason. It is an unspoken understanding that all potential love interests must be approved by Big. Even if the guy has been around pre-Big. Once approved, any potential love becomes a potential heartbreak. I have my eye on you, sir!
4.You spoil her
The struggle for money is very real for most college students but no matter how broke you are, there is ALWAYS money for Big/Little dates. It's nearly impossible to pass Sonic without getting your little her favorite Route 44 slushy and how could you dare let Little go to her first tailgate without a new dress?!
5. You have big/little TV marathons
Your favorite bonding activities include binge watching Netflix and stuffing pizza in your face while you and your little scream at the television. On the rare occasion when you both can't get together you settle for live texting your reactions of the show to each other.
6. You always have a date to lunch
No matter the day of the week you always have someone who is obligated to sit with you in cafe so you don't look like a loner.
7. She knows you better than you know yourself
Whenever you have an issue she is the first person you call. You may know exactly how she is going to react and even what advice she's going to give you- yet she's still the most comforting person you know.
8. You think of her more than you think of yourself
When you get invited to a social the first thing you do is ask for an invite for Little. You wouldn't dream of going without her. Even when you go shopping for your outfit, she's the first one to know what you're dressing as.
9.You can never be mad at her
No matter what she says or what she does, she is your little and and she can do no wrong in your eyes. Besides, if it wasn't for her who would be there to send you constant goofy Snapchats at all hours of the night.
10. Her closest is your closet
Everything she owns is fair game. Being her big gives you the right to any article of clothing, pair of shoes, or bottle of wine she owns. Whether she likes it or not! ;)
11. Her family is your family
You have such a deep connection with this girl that every family member she has feels like your own. Every story you've heard, argument you've sat through and family event you have attended with her gives you a major insight into her life and helps you to be even closer to her.
12. She knows you will always be there for her
No matter how bad a day you are having or what crappy thing you say to her when you're upset, she knows you love her. You make it clear in everything you do that she is the best thing that's ever been yours and you wouldn't trade your experiences with her for the world.
