1. You bleed blue, gold, Seport and half apps.

School might have ended at 1:33 but it might as well have started up again at 10 since everyone was there.

2. You know every word to "Free Fallin'" by Tom Petty

If you didn't have this memorized by your sophomore year you were lucky

3. Your favorite day of the week is Wednesdays because of the Panini's

Fact: I never once got a panini and I don't know whether I am proud or ashamed

4. Stay Classy "Com-se-wogue"

You don't really know what "stay classy" means but you looked forward to hearing it every morning anyway

5. You went to Seport at least twice a week

"Didn't you go there yesterday?"
"Of course"

6. Either you or one of your close friends works at Meat Farms

Like half-apps, school should've just happened there

7. You looked forward to snow because of the day off but also the cute phone call from the super indtendent

"I've been driving around all morning...it's a nightmare!"

8. You looked forward to Night For Jason every year

No matter what social circle you came from you went to Night For Jason and you loved it. ESPECIALLY the teacher dance.

9. You wished you graduated in 2014

Even if you didn't know who Clinton Kelly was at the time, you still were jealous that the class of 2014 had him as their speaker.

10. You teased the Dean of Students about his age at least once

I think this was taken the day he was born.

11. You were always at the Frigate but never purchased anything

12. Once a warrior, always a warrior

The best thing about Comsewogue was that all of the faculty genuinely wanted you to succeeded and even though things may have gotten tough sometimes you realized how lucky you were to be a Comsewogue warrior.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
