Netflix: it started out simply, but it slowly manifested itself into an obsession. Also, at the worst time, finals week. It might have been a budding thing over the course of the semester, but it slowly got worse as the stress built up. If you watch Netflix, and you relate to any of the following 12 things, you just might be becoming addicted to Netflix at the worst time of the year.
*Please note, I do not own any of the following images.
1. It started out simply.
Something that you do every once in a while.
2. You start looking for a series to watch on the side.
You're probably towards the end of the initial series you went to Netflix to watch and need more.
3. Your computer starts to automatically guess the Netflix URL before D2L.
Yeah, yeah I know I have a paper due, but Netflix first.
4. You begin to lose sleep over it.
You start by making Netflix a reward for studying or doing laundry, but then you stay up till 3 a.m. watching episodes.
5. Along with losing sleep, you get offended when Netflix asks that dreaded question: "Are you still watching?"
Of course I am Netflix, don't judge me.
6. You start losing track of the number of episodes watched.
The continuous play button on Netflix? A blessing and a curse sometimes.
7. You try (and fail) to limit your watching.
You are addicted to Netflix, but you aren't willing to admit it just yet.
8. You finish re-watching the series you initially started and are begging for something new.
Some stories told through TV just speak to your soul. And if everyone is watching it, why shouldn't you?
9. You start wishing for plans to be canceled just so you can stay in and watch Netflix.
Honestly, you'd rather stay home watching Netflix than interact with other people anyway.
10. When you ask people to come over and watch Netflix, you literally want to do just that.
I'm not down for this Netflix and chill, I'm down to watch Netflix and just eat food.
11. You use Netflix to fall asleep.
You're re-watching things at such an alarmingly fast pace, they are like bedtime stories for adults.
12. You accept the obsession.
Yes, you're obsessed, and you no longer care to deny it.
