I've never been a One Direction fan -- "What Makes You Beautfiul" didn't rub me the way it rubbed most people. But after hearing Zayn's oddly catchy song, "Pillowtalk," I started wondering why One Direction never really spoke to me, and how many other people take the same stance that I do. Even if I kind of, sort of like Zayn's song, it hasn't convinced me to get into the world of songs sung by his former bandmates. In any case, here are some signs that you've never really been -- and still aren't -- a Directioner.

1. You still don't know the names of all the band members.

Honestly, you probably don't even know how many members of the band there are. Is it four or five?

2. The only member you can actually recognize is Harry Styles.

Hell, he might as well be the entire band as far as you're concerned.

3. The only thing you know about Harry Styles is that he has nice hair and dated Taylor Swift.

And with that, maybe you even think you've seen nicer hair.

4. You can name three One Direction songs (at best).

So, let's see... there's "What Makes You Beautiful," "Drag Me Down" and... yeah, my point exactly.

5. You just stay quiet when you're with a group of Directioners who are talking about 1D.

To each his own. Fans will be fans and you're cool with that. You see no point in bringing them down.

6. And if you do let it slip that you're not a fan...

You're probably used to that look, anyway.

7. You have no problem choosing chilling at home over elbowing rude people at concerts.

You're not entirely cool with getting a black eye to stand within 100 feet of Harry Styles. Your couch is looking better and better in your opinion.

8. You are the least informed person on all things One Direction.

You probably only know about the mainstream news surrounding the band. And if you're really a non-Directioner, then you don't even know about the mainstream stuff.

9. That being said, it seems like it was just yesterday that Zayn left the band.

Zayn leaving the band is probably the newest piece of One Direction info you've received.

10. But you still have no clue why he left.

And you never bothered to find out.

11. You scroll past any article that has to do with One Direction.

Except this one, of course.

12. But your friends who are Directioners still think you're cool, anyway.

And they respect that. That's why they make sure they only blast One Direction songs only a little when you're around. Only a little.
