12 Signs You Are Addicted to Mexican Food

Do you enjoy tacos? Are you currently craving chips and guacamole? Do you ever fancy yourself a delicious frozen margarita? If you’re answering “yes” to any of these questions, I don’t blame you. I, myself, am a self-proclaimed Mexican food addict. Here are 12 signs that you, like me, are obsessed with this amazing food!

1.The mere thought of ordering a Margarita gives you a little buzz

What better way to celebrate the end of a long day and the start of your tasty dinner than with a marg? Am I right or am I right?

2.You don’t even need to look at the menu anymore.

“Yes, I’ll have the fajita quesadilla with chicken, extra guacamole and a side of pico de gallo, please. Thanks.”

3.There’s no chance that your bank account will be overdrawn because the prices are so cheap!

Broke people are hungry too…

4. You know exactly how many minutes it takes for your food to be prepared and served to you.

Having to wait over 30 minutes for your food especially when you’re starving is brutal, but luckily it only takes 11 minutes for your tacos to arrive.

5. You go to a Mexican restaurant so often that you’re referred to as a “regular.”

I mean, cooking is hard, so why not go get some Mexican food?

6. Your favorite “fast-food” restaurant is Taco Bell.

Yeah I know Taco Bell isn’t the typical “Mexican” food, but it’ll do in a pinch.

7. You have hot sauce with you at all times.

If you’re beginning to hoard Taco Bell hot sauce packets in your fridge, it might be time to reevaluate…

8. You have a list of the daily specials in your calendar.

Everyday is a special day at a Mexican restaurant!

9. The employees probably know your name and ask if you’re ordering “the usual”.

Or vice versa. You probably even know the people working and just hope and pray you get your favorite waiter or waitress.

10. You prefer your chips and salsa to be as salty and as spicy as your attitude.

And lets be honest, getting food before you get your food is one of the best perks of going to a Mexican restaurant.

11. You may or may not steal the sauces from the restaurant.

It’s just soOoOo good!

12. There’s just no other restaurant you’d rather eat at

Plain and simple- Mexican food is really good. I mean, this is real reason why you are so addicted to it.

From burritos to quesadillas and chimichangas to tacos, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. So the real question is, why are you reading all of this when you could be at a table in a Mexican restaurant drinking a margarita and eating a taco?

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
