Every once in a while, sometimes you just need a good Netflix binge. While there is a multitude of movies available for streaming, sometimes you want a bit more substance. Sit back and chill out this summer with these twelve shows/series!
1. Riverdale
Drama, mystery, romance, this show has it all. Riverdale will take you into a downward spiral of binge watching with its constant cliffhangers and suspense. Based on the Archie comics, characters Jughead, Betty, Veronica, and Archie are all different but come together perfectly in this unique show. With only the first season out, you will be left wanting more.
2. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt will make you laugh until you finish. The third season of this quirky yet lovable Netflix Original was just recently released. With the protagonist Kimmy now out in the real world after being trapped in a bunker, the watcher gets to meet the characters she encounters just as she does.
3. Girlboss
Another Netflix Original will make any girl feel empowered. Sassy Sophia, played by actress Britt Robinson, is wild and creative. "Loosely" based on a true story, this show will make you laugh and also touch your heart at times.
4. 13 Reasons Why
Most people heard about this show when it was first released because of the message along with some controversy surrounding it. Based on Jay Asher's novel of the same name, this is a show one will probably only watch once or maybe twice, but its story is original and impactful.
5. Jane the Virgin
Whole new meaning to the term telenovela, this unique show will leave you on your toes wanting more. Luckily you can get more because a new season was recently released!
6. Young and Hungry
Sitcom Young and Hungry is filled with many ounces of humor that will merely make you laugh from cheesiness. Emily Osment does a wonderful job of portraying a chef with a couple character flaws that fill the story with wit and love.
