Romantic comedy is hands down the best movie genre. A good romantic comedy is always a good choice no matter what your mood is.
These movies remind people that everyone needs a little comic relief in their own lives. Also, the movies inspire hope to all their viewers that they will eventually find their special someone.
Here is a list of romantic comedies both old and new that everyone must watch.
1. Forgetting Sarah Marshal
This movie was released in April of 2008 and it immediately become a classic.
2. 50 First Dates
This is one of my all time favorite movies partly because it stars Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler. This movie was released in 2004 and it is enjoyable for people of all ages.
3. When Harry Met Sally...
This classic romantic comedy was released in 1989. The movie takes place over the course of 12 years. It brings up the question of whether or not men and women can just be friends.
4. Crazy Stupid Love
This is one of the kinds of movies where there are multiple plot scenes and everything comes together in the end. The movie came out in July of 2011 and these epic stars work together seamlessly.
5. How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days
This feel-good romantic comedy was released in 2003. All I can say is that Kate Hudson and Mathew McConaughey are a dynamic duo.
6. The Wedding Singer
This movie came out in 1998 but I can assure you that it is an oldie but goodie. Remember when people used bands at weddings instead of DJs?
7. Clueless
All I can say is that if you have not seen this movie yet you should really watch it right now. This popular movie came out in 1995 and it is loosely based off of the novel "Emma," by Jane Austen.
8. Pretty Woman
To be honest I only recently watched this movie that came out in 1990, but it far exceeded my high expectation. This movie puts a little twist on the basic Cinderella story.
9. The Proposal
Sandra Bullock is amazing in this movie that came out in 2009. I could watch this movie a million times and I would still laugh at every joke.
10. 13 Going on 30
This movie was released in 2004 and it is one of my all-time favorite movies. Everything is perfect about this movie even though the plot is really unrealistic. And for those of you who do not already know this movie is currently on Netflix.
11. What Happens in Vegas
This movie came out in May of 2008 and it was immediately surrounded by a lot of hype. Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher turn this okay storyline into a great movie.
12. What A Girl Wants
This movie that was released in 2003 and it stars Amanda Bynes during her prime.
These movies are all enjoyable even though all these movies follow a similar plot that includes falling in love, facing some obstacle, and eventually overcoming the obstacle. Make sure to watch some of these movies during your next movie night with friends!
