12 Reasons Why You Should Love The Morning

Anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely love mornings. An email from me at 5 a.m. isn't unusual and breakfast is the one meal a day I'm guaranteed to eat. There's a million reasons why the morning is the most wonderful time of day, but they won't let me write that much so I narrowed it down to 12.

1. In the morning, you come to the realization that you've come to see another day. Yeah, you didn't die in your sleep and you're still kicking. Be thankful.

2. You never worry about dying of a heat stroke in the wee hours of the morning. It's the perfect cool temperature even now, while we're all under the "heat dome."

3. And with that beautiful morning weather comes that perfect time to run. Or convince yourself you're going to run and just hit snooze a million times instead. Either way, it's nice to know you could run in bomb.com weather if you wanted to.

4. There's no better time to drink coffee. Yeah, coffee is a blessing no matter the time, but that morning cup of joe cannot be beat.

5. And that cup of coffee goes great with the news. Yes, with the morning comes the news and if you know how to do life right your go-to news channel is The Today Show. The mornings are the best time to become informed on world events.

6. The morning is the best time of day to accomplish things. Because let's be real, when you're done with classes and work at the end of the day, you aren't going to try and tackle your to do list, you're going to crash from a long day and end up watching Netflix.

7. I know McDonald's does all-day breakfast now, but trust me, a McGriddle is always better in the morning.

8. Oh and since they haven't started all-day breakfast, Chick-fil-A breakfast is another wonderful plus of the morning time.

9. The morning is the best time to call Grandma. We all know our wacky elders are up early and down early. But getting to hear sweet Grandma tell you how wonderful you're doing at life even though your life is crumbling before your eyes, well, you just can't be that.

10. In the morning, your makeup is still fire. And your hair is still in place. Basically, you still look like a model compared to your afternoon shit-show of frizzy hair and a melted face.

11. I live on the west coast of Florida, just 10 miles inland, so I've seen some of the best sunsets on Earth. But there's just something refreshingly beautiful about a sunrise.

12. Probably the best reason to love mornings is because if you hate them, they're guaranteed to suck.

Moral of the story, embrace those first few hours of the day when everything is still right in the world!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
