12 Reasons Why Tarleton State Is The Best University Around

12 Reasons Why Tarleton State Is The Best University Around

There is a reasons it's called "the best kept secret". Tarleton State is not very well known but once you get to know the school, you will fall in love.

There are endless amounts of reasons why Tarleton is the best school around but lets focus on twelve solid points....

1. Tradition

Tradition is FUN and Tarleton has some of the best.... Purple pancakes, snake dance, midnight madness, May Fete, beat the drum, etc. etc.

2. Everyone is family

It doesn't matter where you came from or where you are going, when you become a part of Tarleton, you gain a whole new family that lasts forever.

3. Endless organizations

There's something for everyone.

4. Spirit

Walk around campus on Purple Thursday. The amount of purple shirts you will see shows just how spirited Tarleton State really is as a whole. Then take a closer look at the sports teams, purple poo, plowboys and PANKUS! You will be overwhelmed with spirit!

5. Outstanding faculty and staff

Every single faculty and staff member at Tarleton gives there all to the University. It is amazing to see the love these people have for Tarleton!

6. Feels like home

You are never just a number at Tarleton, you are apart of the family.

7. Bang for your buck

Lets be honest when we think about colleges we always think about the dent it will make in our wallet. Compared to other schools Tarleton is on the cheap side.

8. Dr. D

There are few schools with a President who is so involved. Dr. D's involvement with Tarleton gives every student a sense of comfort and excitement!

9. Size

Not too big. Not too small Tarleton is right for all.

10. The people

I've probably met 2.5 rude people at Tarleton and I know they were just having a bad day. The people at Tarleton are so friendly, helpful, supportive, understanding and kind!

11. The experience

Duck camp, homecoming, Purple Thursday's, City, sporting events, t-week, move in day, class, sorority/fraternity events, dorm life, Timber Ridge, Paradigm, family weekend... No matter what path you choose to take at Tarleton, the experience you will have will leave you with amazing memories and friends.

12. The location

Stephenville is a great town for a University. No there isn't a mall or Panda Express in Stephenville but it has just enough for college students to survive and enjoy themselves!
