It's no secret that dogs are my favorite animal in the world. Sorry, but that means I think they're better than people too. Dogs are never malicious, and always happy. I enjoy making people smile is something I enjoy, and pups are experts on that. With minimal responsibilities and maximum cuteness, here are 12 reasons I would rather be a dog.
1. As a dog I would get to sleep any time I wanted.
It doesn't matter if it's 2 p.m. on a Tuesday or 5 p.m. on a Friday, if I needed a snooze I'd get one. My parents tend to shake their heads in disapproval if I sleep past noon on vacations but some puppy dog eyes would just make them want to reward my adorable laziness.
2. People would automatically love me.
Everywhere I would go people would want to hang out with me. Except for the occasional cat person who irrationally hates dogs. And to them I say, "Don't talk to me."
3. I would love everything and everyone.
Except sometimes cats.
4. It would be more acceptable for me to not like cats.
I'm sorry to the future cat ladies of the world, but they're just mean. Dogs rule cats drool.
5. Responsibility wouldn't exist.
If a dog wants to spend all day doing nothing, no one questions it, but when I do nothing with my day I'm "lazy" and "unproductive."
6. I would be one of the greatest things on the Earth.
Puppies are the best thing on the planet, and who wouldn't want to be a part of that?
7. My only job would be to love my family.
No one will ever be as excited to see you as your dog is when you walk through the door.
8. I'd be really stinking cute.
You just cant beat that face. I just want to be that cute.
9. I could get away with anything.
It's just plain impossible to stay mad at a precious puppy face. They could destroy your favorite pair of expensive shoes, and you'll still only be mad for a few minutes.
10. I might actually enjoy working out.
If I could get half as excited to go to the gym as a dog does to go on a walk, I would turn into Jillian Michaels.
11. I would become the life of any party.
There is a 100% chance that a party will significantly improve when a dog is present. If you cant find me, look down. I'll be hanging with the party pup, and you should be too.
11. I could make everything better.
Whether you're having the worst or the best day of your life, a dog can improve it. If you're sad and need a hug, your dog is there for you.
And if you're excited and looking to celebrate, your dog will jump for joy for you.
