12 Reasons Why Girls Love Fall

Fall. The season of holiday drinks, leggings as pants, ugg boots and cheesy Instagram posts about coffee and pumpkins. Girls, our favorite time of the year is here.

1. Three words. Pumpkin Spice Lattes.

2. Pretty much anything to do with pumpkin spice actually.

Whether that means pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, pumpkin flavored candles or the holiday edition pumpkin spice coffee creamer, let's all just agree that pumpkin spice is a signature that fall has arrived.

3. Fall means football season.

And football season means football pants.

4. Flannels and boots become the go-to outfit.

Why NOT wear this in the fall? It's comfy AND cute. Best of both worlds here people.

5. If that isn't the go-to outfit, try an oversized sweater and leggings.

Don't be ashamed. You know you all wear this outfit. Once again, cute and comfy. Thank you fall for giving us the ability to look like we tried when we really just rolled out of bed and threw on our favorite sweater.

6. Bonfires.

Go get you some marshmallows and some graham crackers, it's s'mores season.

7. You go outside and throw some leaves in the air just to get the perfect photo to post.

8. You coordinate your Halloween costume with your best friends.

Does it get any more basic than this?

I'm here to admit that I have participated in this basic tradition with my friends. No, I'm not ashamed.

9. When the leaves start to change you suddenly become a professional photographer.

Must. Take. Pictures. Of. All. The. Trees.

10. You go to the pumpkin patch just to take 1000 photos so you can post one later with a "punny" caption.

"How do you fix a broken pumpkin? With a pumpkin patch."

11. Red Starbucks cups are back.

THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR.

12. No Shave November?

Fall...the season of long pants, jeans and leggings. Is it really that necessary to shave everyday?

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
