Ever since I was a young kid, I was always the closest to my mom. In all descriptions, she fit the classification of a best friend. In celebration of mothers and daughters who are best friends, I've formed a collection to prove why its awesome to be best friends with your mom.

1. Your mom is usually going to be honest – and sometimes a little too honest- about what she thinks of your haircut, outfit, new boyfriend, shoes, friends, and anything else you're involved in. While her opinions sometimes feel like too much, just know she's only looking out for you.

2. She's always prioritizing your health and safety above all else. You're practically her entire life, of course, so that is her most important task; or as she may call it, her superpower.

3. Another one of her top mom priorities is making sure you're happy and knowing when you are and aren't. Usually, it's not easy to hide emotions from your mom.

4. Mom's don't keep score, even though they know that they do way more for you than you do for them. They're fair, and they know that it's nearly impossible to catch up at this point anyways.

5. It does not matter what time or where; if she hears your call, she will answer. Bonus points for their unconditional ability to rush to you when they're needed, and of course when they're just wanted there as well.

6. She offers the best advice and chances are, she has been through the exact same thing that you're struggling with now. Moms are professionals when it comes to guidance.

7. When your friends or boyfriend cancels on you, mom is always there to hang out with you and binge watch Pretty Little Liars and eat whatever junk food you want, without judgement of course. And honestly, you'd rather be doing that anyways.

8. She doesn't get jealous of your other friends, and will even play the mom role in their life when needed. They have a gift for guiding everyone, believe it or not.

9. Along with number eight, your mom will never get jealous of what you have. What's hers is yours and what's yours is hers, right?

10. Worrying about her stealing your boyfriend or crush will never be an issue. No explanation necessary.

11. She'll get mad at you and you'll get mad at her, but you'll never stop loving each other or being best friends. You were literally made for each other.

12. She'll always be proud of you, because you're her beautiful daughter and she couldn't ask for anything more.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
