We all have those people that we just connect with naturally. You may be looking for love or trying to find people, but as Taylor Swift puts it, the best feeling is when you "wake up and find that what you're looking for has been here the whole time". These people are your best friends and these are the reasons why you are lucky to have them in your life:

1. They’re always ready to give you the thumbs up when you need it. When you’re self-conscious or nervous about something, you can always count on them to give you the best pep talk.

You believe "you'll kill it" because they said so.

2. They’ve seen you at your worst and you don’t even care because they love your craziness.

They'll even join you in the weirdness..life's too short to feel embarrassed.

3. You can sass each other without feeling guilty.

That's how you find humor in situations.

4. You might drive each other insane at times but that only brings you closer in the end.

One comment like this is usually followed by a million hugs and "I'm so sorry"'s.

5. When you are feeling down, they’ll be the first to give you a big hug and tell you everything will be okay.

When you're not touchy-feely, but you give your friends the best hugs anyway.

6. They’ll listen to you no matter what…even if what you’re saying is complete nonsense.

Hey, at least you're learning what's acceptable and what's not.

7.They’re “your lobster” so they’ll never leave your side.

Who wouldn't want to be someone's lobster?

8. You can vent to them whenever. They know everything about your life and are willing to join you on the emotional roller coaster.

When you just want to let out the feels.

9. They’ll be brutally honest with you even when you don't want to hear it because they want to protect you.

How could you say that?? Oh wait, its true.

10. You have so much in common. You connect on every level and they can easily make you smile.

Even if it means bringing you food!

11. You don't need words to communicate sometimes...they just know.

You know you're close when your look says it all.

12. Let’s face it, we all feel alone sometimes and you’ll feel comfortable complaining to them.

But in the process, you’ll realize you’re not alone at all because they are right there with you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
