12 Moments In "History" That Gave Me Fangirl Feels

One Direction is on break, and I'm still finding a way to talk about them.

If you haven't heard about the hiatus One Direction is taking, then you might be living under a rock, or you don't care for One Direction. Either way, you probably are handling this better than I am. Eighteen months doesn't seem like a long time, and it really isn't, but after five years of having continuous news about One Direction and what they are working on, this is a bit of an adjustment. So for those of you that missed the video, I'm leaving it below for those of you emotionally stable enough to watch, and I'm highlighting the best, and most tear-worthy, moments of their music video for "History."

1. The clips from when they formed as a band on "X Factor."

Not including this moment would be a sin, and it's nearly impossible. It's like time traveling back five years ago and witnessing the start of a revolution. OK, that's probably an exaggeration, but you get the idea.

2. The shots of the boys filmed five years later.

This just proves how much time can change things. I mean, Liam has a hat on, Harry's hair is past his collarbones and Niall has glasses on, not to mention how many tattoos have appeared over the years. They certainly have grown up since they met on "X Factor."

3. The boys in their coordinated outfits on tour.

While this only lasted for a year, it was still adorable and showed how much they changed in five years. Also, how can we forget Harry Styles in his blazers, Louis Tomlinson and his suspenders, and Liam's curly, long hair?

4. Clips from their time in Australia.

This was a momentous occasion during their time as a band. It's been five years, and I still remember it. I mean, there are pictures of them with koalas, and there isn't anything better than that.

5. The montage of all of their music videos throughout the years.

As if I wasn't emotional enough, they added in parts of each of their music videos. And this only made me want to watch all of their videos all over again. You win again, One Direction.

6. All of the backstage/behind the scenes footage from over the years.

Anyone that has been a fan of One Direction for a while knows that these guys are really just normal people, and are usually trying to find ways to not do what they should be doing. This just highlights how normal they really are, and that they never let work keep them from having fun.

7. The boys doing a kick line.

We've seen a lot of mock dance routines and terrible dance moves over the years, but this one takes the cake. There are even spirit fingers involved. It's basically perfection.

8. All of the fans shown in the video.

I, though not featured in the video, have been in the same position as many of the fans shown in this video. Seeing all of the people that have been to concerts and waited for hours let's me know I'm not the only one that loves this not-so-normal boyband.

9. The hugs between the boys.

While they didn't know each other before being put together in a band, these guys have grown up with each other over the past five years and have become a family. These hugs make me rightfully emotional.

10. The boys parting ways at the end of the video.

Just another reminder of the break the boys are taking, and while it's a great moment and it symbolizes them parting ways for a while, I'm still emotional about it. Hits me right in the feels.

11. Zayn Malik.

Zayn left the band early in 2015, and let's be real, I'm still not completely over it, so seeing him in the video wasn't easy. Even more, with his new solo single "Pillowtalk" being released this past week, and him saying in an interview that he "never really wanted to be there" doesn't help the situation.

12. The song "History" itself.

Harry, Liam, Niall and Louis have said that this song is essentially a message to the fans. Cue the tears.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
