The Fosters, a FreeForm series, has been around for awhile now. It's caught a bad rep whether it be for the truth in expressing how flawed the foster system is, to having two married mother figures, and I've even heard some negative things about the multiracial diversity of the families. Personally, as I binge watch it on Netflix every day lately, believe it has so many things to teach its viewers.
1. It’s not where you come from, it’s where you belong.

2. “DNA doesn't make a family. Love does.”
3. Everyone is worthy of love – and no one is worthless.

4. “We probably judge ourselves way harsher than anyone judges us.”

5. No matter what your beliefs, good people are good people – regardless of their sexual orientation, race, or gender.

6. “Sometimes, when you’re not with someone, it helps you remember all of the reasons you want to be.”

7. Your real family are the people that you can always count on.

8. Don’t ever apologize for standing up for what you believe in.

9. Believe in your family. Believe in people. Believe in the best possible version of people.

10. “There’s nothing wrong with being different.”

11. “Compassion is given for free, but respect is earned.”

12. “Sometimes what’s right, isn’t always easy.”

Thank you, Adams-Foster family.
