If you put the words "middle school" and "Facebook" together in the same sentence, I'm more than likely going to cringe. Middle school me was too weird to handle, and I should not have been allowed access to a social media website where I could share every thought I had and every selfie I took. Here's a few Facebook activities you probably partook in during the time of braces and silver eye shadow.
Making a "like for a TBH" status.
All in hopes of your crush Chad liking it so you can compliment his eyes or something.
Answering most of your TBHs with, "We don't really talk that much but we should reallyyyy change that :)"
*eye roll*
Making sure to add to your Pieces of Flair board daily.
LOL, so hilarious! LOL, so fun! LOL, so inspirational!
But not before checking on your Fishville Tank!
To buy a new fish or to not buy a new fish. That is the question.
And then checking Farmville immediately after to make sure your crops didn't die while you were at school.
*spams everyone with Farmville invites*
Making sure every picture you posted had the perfect Picnik edit.
Posting only the most perfect selfies.
Caption probably being, "Sweatpants, hair tied, chillin' with no makeup on :))"
Being a part of an excessive number of poke wars.
OK, so I may or may not still do this currently.
Making all of your friends your "family members."
"Okay, Claire, you'll be my mom, and Jenna, you'll be my grandma! Ha ha, this is so hilarious and fun!"
Religiously using "Tag Your Friends" pictures.
Then everyone commenting, "Wait, what am I?" because it's just a big, jumble of names tagged together.
Feeling inspirational and making your status, "Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are shooting stars?"
When in doubt, turn to B.o.B lyrics.
Or getting angry and making your status, "Worst day ever. Going to bed. No one text me."
But then putting your phone number in the comments when someone asked what was wrong.
All we can hope for is that our embarrassing Facebook days don't come back to haunt us through our friends using brutal social media stalking as a form of procrastination.
